Message from President

It is a great privilege and honor to serve as the President of the Women and Child Development Organization (WACD) Nepal. WACD Nepal firmly believes that when women are educated, the entire family becomes empowered through education. The organization also upholds the principle that equal participation and access for both men and women is essential for the development of a just society and a prosperous nation.
In reality, Nepal continues to face deep-rooted challenges, including social discrimination, racial dominance, injustice, sexual violence, suppression, economic segregation, poverty, and unequal participation. Among the most pressing issues are those affecting women and children. The organization also prioritizes institutional development, cultural and environmental preservation, youth mobilization, and advocacy efforts—all aimed at building an equitable, inclusive, and free civil society
Goals
The living standards of socially excluded groups are improved by ensuring better access to quality basic services and promoting a transformation toward a non-discriminatory and inclusive society.
Why we are?

In reality, equal participation of both men and women is essential. A country cannot achieve overall development without the equal involvement of men and women. As the saying goes, “Men and women are the two wheels of a vehicle.” However, women in the nation still face severe social discrimination, domination, injustice, suppression, economic inequality, and lack of equal participation.
Meanwhile, child labor remains one of the burning issues in the nation. One of the main causes of child labor is parents’ illiteracy and lack of awareness. Additionally, poverty, social discrimination, injustice, traditional beliefs, and unequal opportunities contribute to this problem. Therefore, Women and Children Development (WACD) Nepal was established to fight against these issues.
