Mrs. Ramita Chaudhary is the Founder and former President of WACD Nepal. She currently serves as the Founder and Patron of the organization. She has completed Intermediate of Arts (I.A.) and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree.

Mrs. Chaudhary has over seven years of experience in the fields of social mobilization, indigenous peoples’ rights and advocacy, women’s leadership development, cooperative development, women’s rights, democracy promotion, and peacebuilding through dialogue. She also has practical experience in micro-finance and community empowerment.

From 2010 to 2014, she served as the Chairperson of the Tharu Indigenous NGO Federation (TINF), Banke Chapter, where she played a leading role in promoting the rights and welfare of indigenous communities, particularly the Tharu people
