Mr. Amar Khatri

Mr. Amar Khatri holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the United States of America, a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights from India. He is a licensed attorney authorized to practice law in all levels of courts in Nepal. Mr. Khatri began his career as a human rights activist, interning with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and volunteering for the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of Nepal. During the Maoist insurgency, he served as a fact-finding team member for NHRC. He later worked as a lawyer with R-R Law Associates, one of Nepal’s leading law firms, and has provided pro bono legal advisor to various non-profit organizations. His expertise spans human rights and legal advocacy, and he has participated in various national and international seminars, trainings, and conferences. A believer in democratic and liberal values, Mr. Khatri is also a First Dan Black Belt in Karate, awarded by the USA Karate Federation.
